Four Attorneys From Maltzman Foreman Named to Prestigious Super Lawyers Guide

MIAMI, FL (June 23, 2009) – Four attorneys from the law firm of Maltzman Foreman have been named “Super Lawyers” byFlorida Super Lawyers magazine, an annual publication that recognizes the top five percent of attorneys in the state. The list is compiled from peer nominations, in which attorneys in Florida are asked to nominate their choice for the state’s best lawyers, based on individuals they have observed in action firsthand.

Jeffrey Foreman, Jeffrey Maltzman, Darren Friedman and Noah Silverman have all been included in the directory.

A founding partner and principal of the firm, Foreman has extensive litigation and trial experience.  He concentrates his practice on travel and hospitality, admiralty and maritime, commercial litigation and business transactions, class actions, personal injury, medical negligence, and patent infringement matters.  Foreman, who has been named as a Super Lawyer since 2006, was selected as a Super Lawyer in the general litigation category.

Maltzman also a founding partner and principal of the firm, specializes in all aspects of complex commercial litigation, admiralty, insurance defense, corporate crisis management and media relations. Additionally, he is experienced in matters involving gaming, sexual assault and class action litigation. He’s also represented manufacturers’ and insurers’ interests in shoreside product liability and premises liability cases.  Named a Super Lawyer since 2006, Maltzman was selected as a Super Lawyer in the transportation/maritime law category.

Listed as a Super Lawyer “Rising Star,” Friedman is a founding partner and principal at Maltzman Foreman. His practice has focused on defending corporations from medical malpractice, wrongful death, sexual assault, and all types of business and tort litigation.  His practice includes representation of vessel owners, hotels, tour operators, travel agents and those involved in the hospitality and tourism industry.  Friedman also routinely handles appellate matters for the firm’s clients.  Friedman was selected as a Super Lawyer rising star in the general litigation category.

Also listed in the “Rising Star” category, Silverman is a partner with the firm and practices civil litigation focusing on passenger and crewmember maritime tort claims, personal injury litigation, complex commercial litigation claims and class action suits.
Law & Politics publishes Super Lawyers lists in other states, and this is the third year a Super Lawyers list has been published in Florida.  Law & Politics strictly adheres to a rigorous selection process directed at evaluating quality in the most objective possible terms and verifying and validating all data.  The only way a lawyer can be listed in Super Lawyers magazine is through this selection process.  The publishers use a system of balloting, peer evaluation and internal research, which acts as a system of checks and balances.  Silverman was selected as a Super Lawyer rising star in the transportation/maritime law category.
